New Royal Mail PPI Regulations

 

Do you currently use PPI? If so it may soon start to cost you more to send your Mail.

Are you aware that new regulations have been introduced by Royal Mail, which mean that PPI customers will now be charged £5 per posting docket, even if the posting amount is under £5.

This change will affect many PPI users whose mail volume may vary throughout the week. This could mean:

Increased costs as mail worth less than £5 will be charged at the minimum postal value price.

Delays as mail may be held back until the £5 minimum is reached.

Also in the near future, Royal Mail will also be increasing the minimum order value, for paper posting cheques only, to £20. Also they will be introducing a £1 handling fee for every paper posting cheque received, regardless of value. Orders placed electronically will remain at the £5 minimum order value.
